What We Do

Founded in 2019, Cornerstone is an organization dedicated to social transformation. Like the cornerstone of a new structure, it provides the foundation. We are building this together.

Our Vision

Healthy minds. Healthy planet. Healthy society.

How do we make this happen?

Our Mission

Building opportunities for passionate youth to bring their dreams to reality.

“Most learning design is about getting information into people. Cornerstone is about getting the best out of people.”

— Adam Rennie, Founder

Theories of Change

Making connections is a core part of learning.

Everyone has a unique way of connecting (to information, and to others)

Connections are reinforced through action

The more connections, the deeper the learning

Some people can learn on their own. But all people learn better together.

Foundations Classes

Issues are surfaced and addressed using an integrative thinking model.

Facilitators introduce issues and explore participants’ theories.

Intersectional guests (e.g., knowledge keepers, researchers, peers) challenge and build on theories, bringing diverse perspectives.

Groups work together to create new understandings, design potential solutions and actions.

Peeling the onion, that’s easy. But growing the onion, layer by layer ... that’s something.

Foundations Courses

5 minimum, 15 maximum: we keep it tight

1-2 facilitators, several intersectional guests

6-8 weeks, 2-3 hours per week as a group

1 for 1 … every participant funds another one

If you want to go pretty fast and pretty far, get a small group together.
